PRD Tax Services has been in business since 1992, which means that we have plenty of experience preparing taxes. Part of the reason for our successful operation over the years is that we have stayed small. You always receive personal service both while your return is being done, and also afterward if Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) decides, as it sometimes does on a random basis, to look more closely at your return. If you wish we will accompany you to the local CRA office where we will be happy to represent your interests. Our prices are low because we do not run as a "store front" thus our expenses can be kept to a minimum. Though we keep expenses down we still always use up to date equipment and the best available government approved computer software so our accuracy is always assured.
Over the years we have built up a faithful group of repeat clients, some of which use our services even after moving out of the immediate Ottawa area. We do taxes for two and sometimes even three generations of the same families. We are proud of our record and grateful for the loyalty shown us, and we hope that we can serve even more people in the future. Software
Our computer can do your taxes for any year after 1997. We use the 
program which we find to be the best and most efficient package available. The ProfileT1 program by GreenPoint Software, of Calgary, Alberta was used last year by more than ten thousand tax professionals to process over four million tax returns. GreenPoint is now part of the Intuit group of companies. Intuit is best known by the public for its 
software line but it is also a widely respected maker of tax programs. In the unlikely event that you must go back to 1996 or earlier we must rely on those old fashioned paper forms from CRA but we are still willing to use a pencil and paper if that is what it takes to solve your tax problems.
Coming to us
Our hours of operation during the tax season (March and April) are usually 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and we are open seven days a week, though we recommend that you telephone before coming to see us, as our office may occasionally be closed for short periods, now and then, and we would not like to inconvenience you. Most of our clients make an appointment to come to us whenever it is most convenient for them. We will be happy to arrange a time that conforms to your schedule if it is in any way possible to do so.

Our office is at 257 Flora Street which is in Centretown very close to the Queensway. Because of the unusual nature of the one way traffic on Flora Street the only legal way to get to our office is via Percy Street. Can't come to us?
Because the internet knows no borders and the need to do taxes remains no matter where a taxpayer might roam we have increasingly been asked to prepare tax returns for people who live far from our office here in Ottawa. Usually we can accomplish this quite easily by use of email to receive the taxpayer's personal information and documents (in the form of scans - .jpg, .gif, or .pdf, and at least 300 dpi ), replying with Adobe .pdf copies of the return, and then relying on the regular mail for payment.
